Lead-acid batteries are one of the few things on a decommissioning list that reliably pay you rather than cost you. Lead recovers at a high rate and has a stable market, so a pallet of spent batteries is a settlement, not a disposal line item.
The catch is handling. They are heavy, they contain acid, and they are regulated in transport — which is why they tend to sit in a corner of the warehouse for a year until someone finally deals with them. We deal with them.

Pallets, poly boxes or dedicated containers placed for safe accumulation, so batteries are not stacked loose on a warehouse floor for months.

Compliant transport with the handling that regulated material requires — including removal from racks and battery rooms where the job needs it.

Do you pay for lead-acid batteries?
Yes, in almost all cases. Lead has a stable recovery market, so spent batteries usually settle in your favour. Pricing follows the lead market and varies by battery type and volume, so we quote against current markets rather than a fixed rate.
Do you take UPS battery strings out of a data centre?
Yes — this is one of the most common jobs we do, usually alongside a wider decommissioning project. We remove batteries from racks and cabinets, handle transport, and settle the lead value against the project.
What about forklift batteries? They are enormous.
Traction batteries are heavy but straightforward for us, and their weight is exactly why they are worth recovering properly. We handle the lifting and the transport.
Is there a minimum quantity?
For collection in Dallas–Fort Worth, a pallet or a battery room is comfortably worth a trip. Smaller quantities are welcome at our Arlington facility. For long-distance collection we will tell you honestly whether the trip pays for itself.
Do you take lithium batteries as well?
Lithium chemistries are handled differently from lead-acid and have their own transport and storage requirements. Tell us what you have and we will confirm before anything is collected.
