Destruction & Brand Protection
Product Destruction & Brand Protection
Overstock, returns, recalls and off-spec goods destroyed beyond resale — witnessed if you want it, documented either way, on our own shredding equipment.
A pallet of product you have written off is not worth nothing. It is worth something to whoever finds it on a secondary market with your name still on it — and by then the problem is no longer inventory, it is warranty claims on goods you never sold, price erosion against your own distributors, and a customer whose bad experience is attributed to your brand.
The same applies to returns you have decided not to put back into stock, recalled units, off-spec production, discontinued packaging and prototype hardware. The point of destruction is not disposal. It is making certain the item cannot come back.
What we destroy
- Excess and obsolete inventory
- Customer returns not going back to stock
- Recalled, defective and safety-withdrawn product
- Off-spec and failed quality-control production
- Counterfeit goods seized or intercepted
- Branded packaging, labels, tags and point-of-sale material
- Uniforms, apparel, badges and credentials
- Prototypes, samples and pre-release hardware
- Proprietary tooling, moulds and fixtures
- Promotional and licensed merchandise
How a destruction job runs
Define what "destroyed" means for you
Some programmes require the item unrecognisable; others require only that it cannot function or be resold. Your contract, insurer or brand-protection policy usually sets the bar — tell us what it is and we work to it.
Sealed collection or delivery
Documented custody transfer at pickup, or sealed delivery to our Arlington facility. Material designated for destruction stays segregated from general processing on arrival.
Destruction on our own equipment
Shredded, crushed, sheared or mutilated on the industrial shredder at our facility — not routed to a third party who issues a certificate on our behalf.
Witness or record
Attend in person, send a representative, or have us document it. Video is available where your programme requires evidence.
Certificate of Destruction
Identifying the goods, quantities, method, date and responsible personnel — with lot, batch or serial detail where the items carry it.
Recycle and report
Destroyed material is recycled through our certified process, and you receive diversion figures for sustainability reporting.
Why this is worth doing properly
We destroy it ourselves
Our own shredding equipment, in our own building. Every additional hand-off between your dock and the shredder is a place where a pallet can quietly not get destroyed.
Witnessed destruction
Your representative is welcome on site. For brand-protection and recall programmes this is often the difference between a document and actual assurance.
Segregated from general scrap
Material for destruction never mixes with the ordinary processing flow, so nothing walks out intact.
A certificate that names things
Lot, batch or serial detail where it exists — not a one-line statement covering an unspecified pallet.
Product Destruction & Brand Protection — common questions
Why not just send it to landfill or donate it?
Both leave the goods intact, and intact branded goods have a way of resurfacing. Landfill diversion also increasingly conflicts with sustainability commitments. Destruction followed by materials recycling resolves both: the product cannot come back, and the material is still recovered.
Can we witness the destruction?
Yes, and brand-protection and recall programmes usually should. Schedule it with the collection and your representative attends. Where attending is impractical we can provide video documentation instead.
What does the Certificate of Destruction cover?
The items and quantities, the destruction method, the date and location, and the responsible personnel — with lot, batch or serial numbers where the goods carry them. It is written to be filed and produced later, which is the only time it actually matters.
Do you handle counterfeit goods?
Yes. Seized or intercepted counterfeits are destroyed under the same documented, segregated process, which is what brand-protection counsel generally needs to close the file.
Is the destroyed material still recycled?
Yes. Destruction and recycling are not in conflict — once the product is beyond reuse, the material goes through our certified recycling process and you receive the diversion figures.
Do you take product from outside Texas?
Yes. Product destruction travels well because the value is in the documentation rather than the material, so shipments into our Arlington facility from out of state are routine.
